Sherman Jr./Sr. High School - Track & Field
The 2014 track and field season will bring high expectations, both for the individuals participating and for the team as a group. While the team loses some senior leadership that will be difficult to replace, the team will be anchored by its 11 returning members, 4 of which competed at the OSAA State Championships last year (Meagan McKinney, Andie Harrison, Brett Evans, and Tanner Sandquist). In addition, the team will add 12 new talented athletes to this year’s team that will fill holes in the roster and add much needed depth across the board. While earning medals at meets is a rewarding experience, the Sherman County track & field team continues to focus on individual improvement. Our number one goal remains setting personal records each time we compete. In 2012, we averaged 9.5 all-time personal records per athlete (228 total all-time personal records).
In 2013, that number rose significantly to 11.13 per athlete (167 total all-time personal records). Our goal is to increase that number for a third consecutive year. Announcements
